Breaded Chicken Grilled Cheese

This week's grilled cheese contained a nice piece of breaded chicken, fried in a pan with some oil and butter, along with some home made tomato sauce and mozzarella cheese.

Four-Cheese Cheese-Steak Grilled Cheese

After a quick run through the grocery store looking for inspiration and ingredients I decided tonight's sandwich would be a four-cheese cheese-steak grilled cheese. I picked up some fast-fry rib-eye steaks, some extra cheese, and some nice soft Italian bread and headed home. I shredded and mixed together cheddar, mozzarella, and Monterrey Jack cheeses and then added a good size amount of cream cheese to turn it into a bit of a paste.

Montreal Smoked Meat Grilled Cheese

Today we had a very good sandwich. we had Montreal Smoked Meat with Swiss.

Three-Cheese Grilled Cheese

Today's sandwich was a pretty basic one, but mighty tasty. We put cheddar, mozzarella and swiss on some nice soft Italian bread. We were out of tomato soup though, so some mushroom soup was made.

Lobster Grilled Cheese

Lobster is somewhat of a delicacy, especially at this time of year and in Ontario (not exactly near the ocean) which is why this was kind of a big deal for us. We picked up 4 lobster tails on the cheap at Zehrs for $2 each and created one of the messiest grilled cheese sandwiches ever. It was a total sloppy disaster to eat, but oh-so-good. Ham And Cheddar with Spicy Salami Grilled Cheese

For today's grilled cheese i needed a real filling sandwich. I stopped by the store on the way home and picked up some Black Forest Ham and some spicy Genoa Salami. Together with some multigrain bread and lots of cheddar cheese we had some very tasty sandwiches.

Artichoke and Asiago with Mozzarella Grilled Cheese

This one was a pretty great grilled cheese. We used some artichoke and asiago cheese dip, along with some extra (canned) artichokes and mozzarella cheese (to make it extra gooey). I had mine with salsa as a dip.

Halloween Grilled Cheese

We didn't really want to put pumpkin on our grilled cheese (it might have been good, or it might have been terrible) so instead we decided that the grilled cheese needed to look like a jack-o-lantern instead. We cut out the bread a little to look like a jack-o-lantern and let the old cheddar cheese seep into the whole and get nice and crusty on the grill. It was served with some cream of tomato soup.

Inside-Out Cordon Bleu Grilled Cheese

Today's was an especially good sandwich. I had made some rotisserie chicken on the weekend and saved some for this grilled cheese. I wrapped the chicken in ham and added swiss cheese to the outside of it and put the whole thing between some nice multigrain bread (hence the inside-out part, cheese on the outside of the chicken and ham, usually it's cheese and ham inside of a piece of chicken). It went well with ranch dip and pickles. Allison had grainy dijon mustard on hers.

Salami and Smoked Gouda Grilled Cheese

We opted for some pretty strong flavours today with a smoked Gouda cheese and some mild salami on a multigrain loaf. The meat got a little sizzle on the griddle before going on the sandwich (not for long, it was pretty thin). Allison's also had a grainy sharp mustard and garlic dill pickles on it. I had my pickles on the side. She also had some sliced beets on the side. Dips of choice were ranch for her and chipotle ketchup for me.
